This free six concert series brings International music to Chicago’s Millennium Park. The first concert hails artists from Catalonia, with its multi-lingual and -cultural history. The Sudanese Music & Dance Festival brings varied styles from villages and deserts and the infamously conflict-ridden Darfur. Senegal, the Dominican Republic, and Argentina are also represented, and there’s a special partnership with Pitchfork which will introduce even more global music to the stage at Pritzker Pavilion.

~ Dominican acoustic bachata legends joined by a rising bachatero and a Cape Verdean songstress

~ An iconic Senegalese band mixing Afro-Cuban, Portuguese Creole, Congolese rumba, highlife, calypso, and traditional Senegalese styles

~ A Sudanese sampler of regional superstars performing in a gesture of peace and hope for a united Sudan
