Also coming up at Crossings is a concert by Canadian banjo player Jayme Stone and Malian singer/kora player Mansa Sissoko at 7 p.m. Sept. 21. They will play selections from their new album, "Africa to Appalachia."

The music is an outgrowth from a trip Stone made to Africa to immerse himself in the music and lore of the continent.

Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door.
