Dela Cusack, 2 2/3 years of age, was down on both knees on the Kirkwood Avenue sidewalk, clapping her hands rhythmically to the music Friday evening.

She clapped to the sound of Frigg, the Finno-Norwegian band that closed Thursday night’s open concert for the 15th-annual Lotus World Music and Arts Festival, but also the first group to fire up its fiddles Friday.

Frigg deployed right outside in the middle of Kirkwood Avenue around 6:30 p.m. It was a bit of free, but authorized, street busking. So the festival was entertaining its audience even before the official shows began.

Dela seemed fully mesmerized, but she wasn’t alone, as a large crowd gathered. She stayed at the feet of her grandfather, Guy Loftman, who also clapped along.
