The BrasilianS, Mention in "Odds & Ends" column >>
Rio de Janeiro's A Filial is releasing their new CD, $1,99 (the title refers to Brazil's equivalent to American Dollar Store). The record is a collection of songs inspired by the laid-back hip-hop scene of that city, plus a lot of influences from bossa nova, rock and samba. $1,99 hits US stores on December 2, just in time for the beginning of the Christmas shopping season.
