Nearly 400 people are expected to attend the 2008 Native American Symposium in Wayne on Thursday. Native American education will be the focus of the conference. Kevin Locke, a member of the Lakota Tribe, will speak on Native American culture and perform as part of the daylong event. Activities will include sessions related to diversity and education as well as presentations by Mary Schlieder, the Nebraska 2008 Teacher of the Year.
