Occidental Brothers Dance Band International Odo Sanbra pays tribute to the diversity of African musical styles, particulary those that flourished in the early 1900s, in Odo Sanbra, their energetic new album. Neither does guitarist and band founder Nathaniel Braddock neglect his small-town Michigan heritage in the search to blend the best elements of traditional and original music. Saxophonist Greg Ward produces an African-styled counter to Braddock's guitar, while Ghanian star Kofi Cromwell adds the gift of his lyrics, sometimes in English but often in the native Ghanian dialects of Fante or Twi. A truly marvelous listening experience, enthusiastically recommended especially for international music collections. The tracks are "Nyenko!", "Odo Sanbra", "Mafiwo", "Bizarre Love Triangle", "Circle Circle Circle", "Masanga", "Odo Bra WaWaWa", "Nedo Ye Fe", "Her Love is Sweet", "Akwaaba 'You Are Welcome'", and "Yaa Amponsah".
