Juana Molina
Juana Molina has drawn comparisons to genre-stretching artists like Bjork and Feist with her airy, slightly quirky take on world pop. Like small pebbles dropped into a pond, the songs ripple and fade, buoyed by Molina’s breathy vocals and unconventional sounds. Although her current album, “Un Dia”, is her fifth, this tour marks the first time that the Argentine songwriter will be bringing a full band along to flesh out the dreamy soundscapes she’s created on her records.
8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, Lola’s Room, 1332 W. Burnside St., 503-225-0047, $20 02/05/09 >> go there
