Federico Aubele is a singer-songwriter born in Argentina who started playing music at an early age. Most of his musical influences came from his mother, who was constantly playing tango, boleros, and Bossa Nova. This mix of music explains the eclectic genre that Federico embodies; something that straddles Jamaican dub & reggae, American ambient and hip-hop, Mexican bolero and Argentine tango. Aubele moved to Berlin in 2001, due to unrest in his native country and it was while there that he singed a record deal with Thievery Corporation’s Eighteenth Street Lounge Music. Federico released his debut album Gran Hotel Buenos Aires in 2003 to critical and commercial acclaim. In 2006 he came to the United States to played at the Austin City Limits Music Festival, a huge accomplishment for any artist. Federico Aubele is coming to S.O.B’S on October 28th to share the sound of his relaxing voice and the creative flavor of his music. 10/13/09 >> go there
