Seattle Theatre Group (STG) presents Goran Bregovic and His Wedding & Funeral Orchestra at The Moore Theatre on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 8:00pm. Goran Bregovic His Wedding & Funeral Orchestra will stop in Seattle as a part of their first North American album release, Alkohol, and performance tour.

Roots in the Balkans where Bregovic stems from, and head in the 21st Century which he fully inhabits, Bregovic's music marries the sound of a be-devilled gypsy brass band with traditional Balkan polyphonies - those of an electric guitar and traditional percussion with a curious rock accent; creating music that our soul recognizes instinctively and the body greets with an irresistible urge to dance.

Seattle Theatre Group is the 501 (c)(3) non-profit arts organization that operates the historic Paramount and Moore Theatres in Seattle, Washington. Our mission is to make diverse performing arts and education an integral part of our region's cultural identity while keeping these two landmark venues alive and vibrant. STG presents a variety of shows from Broadway, off-Broadway, dance and Jazz or comedy, concerts of all genres, speakers and family shows - at both historic theatres in Seattle and at venues throughout Puget Sound and Portland, Oregon.
