Potholes in My Blog, CD Review >>

As dedicated readers will note from previous posts, Potholes enjoys turning people’s ears onto delicious sounds, which at times requires something a bit left field. Well, it is safe to say that DJ/producer Canyon Cody and rapper/producer Gnotes of Gnawledge Records have come up with an album that certainly sounds like nothing else out there – and that’s a great thing. Canyon Cody won a Fulbright scholarship, and headed off to Spain with Gnotes to explore the musical culture and traditions in the town of Granada. After inviting 16 various artists to participate in live jam sessions, Cody and Gnotes compiled Granada Doaba, a hip-hop/flamenco fusion album, with a touch of electronica as well.

The good people over at Gnawledge are also encouraging producers and rappers to take this album, and record over it, or remix it, or both! If you’re interested, make sure to check out the Granada Doaba remix page.
