The Black Seeds: Solid Ground

Something musically unique occurs this week, September 29th to be exact. Oh, it may seem like just another album release and in that sense you'd be right. But the band and style of music are what will set this release apart: the band is New Zealand's The Black Seeds and the album Solid Ground is a fantastic mix of soul, reggae and afro dub. This 8-piece band has been pumping out their throbbing mix of genres since 2001 and just keeps making it sound better and better. Solid Ground is raw and undiluted and is a party jam on a disc and has all the makings of an instant classic. The band is currently touring in the States in support of the release and no doubt it would be a great show to catch. Highly recommended, no doubt an album you'll never get tired of listening to
