Rosanne Cash may have inherited the musical genes from her father Johnny Cash.  However, he wanted to ensure "her education" as well.  He gave her a list of 100 songs he insisted she had to learn.  It included everything from Appalachian ballads to works by Woody Guthrie, Hank Williams and Merle Haggard.  
            Her new album is “The List,” her new look at 12 songs from her roots.  Special guests on the CD are Bruce Springsteen, Rufus Wainwright, Elvis Costello and Jeff Tweedy.  Cash and her band will debut several songs from the album live at 93.9 FM on WNYC’s Soundcheck on Sept. 23 at 2 p.m. broadcasting from Jerome L.
