Growing up with Irish parents and a knack for fiddle playing since the age of 8, Eeileen Ivers is now touring with a fresh interpretation of Irish music. Ivers opens her tour at the Phillips Center For The Performing Arts in Gainesville tomorrow night (Saturday, 2/20), bringing her show called “Beyond The Bog Road.” WUFT’s Jessica Gable sat down with Ivers to talk about how she hopes to bring the diversity and intense emotion of Irish music to the Gainesville community. 02/19/10 >> go there
