Wondering what to do this weekend? We have you covered.
Music| Ana Moura
Ana Moura learned Portuguese folk singing traditions from her mother. An innovative, young performer, she cut her teeth as a rock singer before beginning her career as a fado artist. Ms. Moura will be performing as part of the San Francisco Jazz Festival’s Spring Season. Though her music is influenced by Marvin Gaye and Nina Simone, her backing trio consists of a 12 metal-stringed Portuguese guitar, acoustic guitar and bass. Saturday at 8 p.m at the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre, 3301 Lyon Street, San Francisco.
