"Adje! Adje!" is a music CD album by the ensemble band Elikeh, who take their name from an African word meaning "rooted-ness". Togolese-born singer, guitarist, composer, and Elikeh's founder Massama Dogo sings in a hybrid dialect used only in Togo's capital, accompanied by guitars, flute, and a music style that blends traditional African and contemporary elements into a polyrhythmic whole. Driving the album is a strong theme of social justice, and how important it is for people to band together against corruption and excessive greed, whether perpetuated by the state itself or private corporations. A powerful, invigorating call to participate in making the world a better place, "Adje! Adje!" is highly recommended. The tracks are "Adje! Adje!", "Oleblemi", "Djalele", "Novi Nye", "Get Ready", "Let's March", "Lonlon", "Aiko", "Jondji", and "Madjo". 05/07/10 >> go there
