Today In Music News: Thu Aug 26

Matt and Kim are hitting the road in support of both their new single — “Cameras,” out August 31 — and their new album — still untitled, out this fall.

Indie kids rejoice: Sufjan Stevens has finally announced the details of his upcoming LP The Age of Adz. He’s clearly breaking from the state-based theme for this album, which comes out on CD/digital on Asthmatic Kitty Records October 12 and double LP on November 9.
Los Campesinos! have released a new EP, All’s Well That Ends, and will be taking the songs on the road throughout North America on a tour that kicks off in Toronto in early October. Hopefully this one will have less concussions.

At the September 20 Polaris Prize Gala, one lucky artist will learn that they’ve won $20,000 thanks to their fine album. A bunch of other lucky people in attendance will get to see all of the Polaris short-list nominees perform live. Sirius is running a contest for VIP attendance, if watching it live through Much Music just isn’t going to cut it for you. 08/26/10 >> go there
