Nothing makers our day move better than receiving HOT new music from the Global Music Universe.  Our pick today comes to us from Hammerfest, Norway.  Jienat is their name. The CD is called "Mira" and is the first ever world music disc to be recorded in true 5.1 surround sound, and the first world music disc to be released on Audio  Blu-Ray.  We are also lead to believe it is the first CD utilizing the Kildin Sami language, now spoken by a mere 5-600 persons.  There are also four other regional tounges used on the disc.

It is music like this that truly inspires us here at World Music Headquarters.  What we find interesting is the material on the "Mira" is new...this is not traditional material.  Although it may sound like it.  Very powerful particularily the opening track ont he CD "Sissel".
