Masekela makes music for change, and dancing

South African jazz legend Hugh Masekela comes to Symphony Center as part of the Symphony Center Presents: Jazz, Jazz E series. The Grammy Award-winner has used his music as a voice in the fight for issues of equality and justice in South Africa. And, in his more than 40-year career, has also influenced many musical genres with his blend of traditional South African music, pop and jazz. That's not to say a Masekela set list is all serious and somber.
