Playing strings Talk about an interesting pairing — Malian kora player Ballaké Sissoko and French cellist Vincent Segal are in town for the Boston debut of their genre-defying music making. Sissoko hails from Mali, Segal was trained classically but explores styles including rock, Latin, and African. Together, they bring out the hushed, delicate side of African music.
