'Ruined': Mama Nadi survives the Congo civil war by not taking sides. Beer and girls flow at her bar and brothel to any man who leaves his gun at the door. Ballaké Sissoko and Vincent Segal: Talk about an interesting pairing — kora player Sissoko and French cellist Segal are in town for the Boston debut of their genre-defying music making. Sissoko hails from Mali, Segal was trained classically but explores styles including rock, Latin and African. Together, they bring out the hushed, delicate side of African music. 8 p.m. $25. 'The MIT 150 Exhibition': Brainiacs at MIT have been making science history for 150 years, and some of the evidence is at this exhibit in the new Thomas Peterson '57 Gallery.
