Ballake Sissoko, hailing from the great tradition of Malian Kora players and griots, and Vincent Segal, classical cellist from France, perform breathtaking chamber music. Using a kora, a 21-stringed instrument made from a large gourd creates a deep haunting tone that blends naturally with the bass clef notes of Segal’s cello, resulting in a captivating meld of cultures and tones.
