Last month, we reported that the version of the All Tomorrow’s Parties festival that the formerly reclusive Neutral Milk Hotel frontman Jeff Mangum was curating had been postponed from a planned December date to a weekend in March. The festival, which will now go down 3/9-11 in Minehead, England, now has a lineup, and the ATP folks were not playing around with this one. The festival may be happening a little later than planned, but the lineup looks pretty sick. In addition to headliner Mangum, it also features Joanna Newsom, the Magnetic Fields, the Boredoms, Sebadoh, the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Thurston Moore, Scratch Acid, and a ton of others.

Rounding out Mangum’s ATP bill, we’ve also got Low, Versus, Yann Tiersen, the Fall, Mike Watt and George Hurley (the surviving Minutemen!), Young Marble Giants, Robyn Hitchcock (performing I Often Dream Of Trains in full), the Magic Band, the Raincoats (performing their self-titled debut), the Olivia Tremor Control, the Apples In Stereo, Half Japanese, Tall Firs, the Music Tapes, a Hawk And A Hacksaw, Elephant Six Holiday Surprise, Lost In The Trees, and Group Doueh. There is, appropriately enough, a lot of Elephant Six on that bill. Check the ATP site for all the info.

In other ATP news, they’ve also announced plans for a second London-based I’ll Be Your Mirror. Last year, Portishead curated and headlined the London festival, and then they followed it up with a similar one in Asbury Park, New Jersey. There’s no one curator for next year’s festival, but they have three headliners lined up: Guided By Voices, Mogwai, and, most awesomely, Slayer performing Reign In Blood. They’ve also announced a few other bands for the show: the reunited Sleep and Codeine, as well as Melvins, Mudhoney, and Yuck. God willing, this could mean that we all get to mosh down to “Angel In Blood” at the Asbury Park Convention Hall next year. Fingers crossed.
