The Heineken TransAtlantic Festival explores modern world music from the great cities and nations of the Atlantic Rim. TransAtlantic is the brainchild of the Rhythm Foundation, a non-profit cultural organization based in Miami.

In this podcast we talk with Gene de Souza of the Rhythm Foundation about the accomplishments of the organization, how they’ve attracted audiences from all age groups and walks of life, and what we have to look forward to at this year’s festival. The Heineken TransAtlantic Festival takes place in 2011 from April 27-30.
