Heineken Transatlantic Festival: World Music In Miami
This April the Music of the world will be heard right here on the beaches of Miami and you will have Rhythm Foundation to thank for the annual epic oceanfront concert series, known world-wide as the Heineken Transatlantic Festival. S.A.M. is getting you connected to global music without even leaving MIAMI.
This ingenious idea to present World Music in South Florida was started in 2003 by Miami based non-profit cultural organization called Rhythm Foundation. Heineken Transatlantic Festival has become the premier destination to enjoy modern world music ranging from the slow wine of the Caribbean, melodic harmonies from Brazil to the electronica of Europe and the funky yet beautiful beats of Africa. This amazing concert series, now in its ninth year has made MIAMI the unofficial Transatlantic mecca for world music every April. And to quench your thirst from all that dancing you will do, let’s not forget there will be plenty of Heineken for your enjoyment.
This year you can expect both global music superstars as well as local Miami favorites to get your heart racing as you dance. This year’s schedule & featured artists are listed below.
