Every summer the cool air of Los Angeles is filled with the varied and eclectic sounds of music of the various free concerts held throughout the city, and all of the action starts this week at the Farmers Market at 3rd and Fairfax.
Subsequently, more venues will each start their own 2011 Free Summer Concert Series, thereby kicking into high gear yet another year of our traditional Los Angeles free concert season.
Below is a list of the sites in this year’s calendar. A few of the venues–new and old–have yet to announce their 2011 schedules, but as soon as they do, we’ll add them to the calendar.
If I’ve forgotten any free concerts–or if you know of any that are not listed–feel free to let me know and we’ll include them with the others.
