It’s hard to argue with the price of tickets to see award-winning Canadian banjoist Jayme Stone at Sellersville Theater 1894 on Wednesday.
They’re free.
It what the venue is billing as a “patron appreciation free concert,” the theater is offering seats on a first come, first served basis, with doors opening at 7:30 p.m.
The theater seats 300.

Stone will perform songs from his recent third solo album, “Room of Wonders,” which highlights music from Europe, North America and South America. The concert, as does the disc, will feature pioneering fiddle player Cassie Driessen. It’s Stone’s third solo recording
Formerly of the jazz and roots group Tricycle, Stone released his debut solos album, ”The Utmost,” in 2008 and won the Juno Award (the Canadian equivalent of the Grammy Award) for Instrumental Album of the Year.
His sophomore disc, “Africa to Appalachia,” won the 2009 Juno Award for World Music Album of the Year.
Stone has studied with Béla Fleck and with Fleck's teacher, Tony Trischka.
