José Conde - José Conde 4/3
O's Notes: This is a CD for the Latin party set. It is funky mambo and meringue. The beats are popping and the groove swinging. José Conde is a Cuban guitarist now based in New York along with his Nu Latin Groove band. We fell into their rhythm on the opener "Amor y Felicidad" and never let go. Conde mixes it up with a little tango on "El Vestido". The lyrics are in Spanish, Portuguese and English. He wrote and produced all of the music from his Brooklyn home studio. While we appreciated the variety of Latin music on this self-titled release we favored the rump shakers! 09/07/11
