Jagjaguwar is reissuing Dinosaur Jr‘s first three albums on vinyl. 1985′s Dinosaur, 1987′s You’re Living All Over Me and 1988′s Bug are out October 4 … In similar news, Bitch Magnet‘s three-album catalog is getting the re-release treatment via Temporary Residence Limited. 1988′s Star Booty, 1989′s Umber and 1990′s Ben Hur will be available November 15 as a limited-edition, three-LP set and as a triple CD, featuring songs that have never appeared on CD or LP, as well as previously unreleased recordings … Merge is reissuing Superchunk’s Foolish on September 13. The 1994 LP is the fourth of the band’s albums to be re-released over the past year and will include new art, bonus material and liners by drummer (and friend to MAGNET) Jon Wurster … Rufus Thomas’ Do The Funky Chicken, the Dramatics’ Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get and Shirley Brown’s Woman To Woman are also being reissued September 13 as part of Concord Music Group’s ongoing Stax Remasters Series. Each album features 24-bit remastering, bonus tracks and new liner notes … U2‘s groundbreaking Achtung Baby gets the 20th-anniversary reissue treatment on November 1. 20 Years Of Achtung Baby (Island) is available in five physical formats, including an “uber deluxe edition” that includes six CDs, four DVDs, two LPs, five seven-inches, 16 art prints, a book, a magazine, four badges, a sticker sheet and a pair of Bono “The Fly” sunglasses … On November 15, Chunklet Industries is reissuing the Olivia Tremor Control’s two full-lengths on vinyl. 1996′s Music From The Unrealized Film Script: Dusk At Cubist Castle and 1999′s Black Foliage: Animation Music Volume One come with download cards that together feature more than three hours’ worth of previously unreleased and rare tracks. Catch OTC on tour later this month … Phil Spector Presents The Philles Album Collection (Phil Spector Records/Legacy) is a seven-CD boxed set featuring six Philles Records LPs never reissued in their entirety by the likes of the Ronettes and the Crystals. It’s out October 18, as is The Essential Phil Spector, a two-CD, 34-song set that collects most of Phil Spector‘s best production work … On September 27, No Idea Records is issuing Live In Chicago, a 30-song, 90-minute live LP by Hot Water Music. The album, recorded at Chicago’s Metro club in 2008, is available as a triple-LP or double-CD set … Johnny Boy Would Love This…A Tribute To John Martyn (Liaison) is a 30-track, double-CD tribute album honoring late British guitar hero and singer/songwriter John Martyn. The lineup includes Beck, Robert Smith, David Grey, the Swell Season, Snow Patrol, Beth Orton and longtime Martyn pal Phil Collins … Eagle Rock Entertainment continues its Live At Montreux Series on August 23 with Canned Heat‘s Live At Montreux 1973, Rockpile‘s Live At Montreux 1980, Average White Band‘s Live At Montreux 1977 and Status Quo‘s Pictures: Live At Montreux 2009 … UFO’s The Chrysalis Years (1973-1979) compiles all the songs the band recorded for Chrysalis during the ’70s.
