Freshlyground takes center stage at the Kuumbwa
Since 2002, Freshlyground, an Afro-pop band from South Africa, credits their high-energy live performances as the foundation of their success. Made up of seven talented and diverse musicians from Mozambique and Zimbabwe, the group grooves to the experienced rhythm section of Peter Cohen on drums and Josh Hawks on bass, aided by guitarist Julio Sigauque, keyboardist Seredeal Scheepers, Simon Attwell flute, mbira, sax and harmonica and violinist Kyla Rose Smith.
