Os Kuduristas, a group of the most renowned kuduro dancers out of Angola, have touched down stateside. With the help of Chief Boima, DJ KS*360, and DC’s Sol Power All-Stars, the kuduro collective will bring dance battles and several New York and Washington, DC area venues — as well as to aspiring beat-makers, filmmakers, and dancers with a creative, interactive cultural exchange educational component at high schools and youth centers. Check out an intro video to the heavyweight kuduro crew and catch them around the East Coast (dates below)!
