Singer Cesaria Evora, dubbed the “Barefoot Diva” for often performing without shoes, died in 2011 in her native Cape Verde at the age of 70.

She worked until her last days and a final album of her songs has been released posthumously.

The record is called “Mae Carinhosa,” or “Mother Affection.”
