Drummer, composer and songwriter Tony Allen is one of the co-founders of the rhythmic, funky genre known as Afrobeat. Tonight, Allen leads a tribute to his former bandmate, the late Nigerian musician and activist Fela Kuti. It's also a preview of the upcoming album Red Hot & Fela, from the Red Hot organization, which works to educate about AIDS through pop culture.
