Casa de Trova ("House of the Troubadours" or "House of Ballads") is an exciting music album, named after a nigh-legendary concept in Cuban music lore. Celebrating the idea of a place where friends congregate to make music, veteran performer Alejandro Almenares (born in Santiago de Cuba, 1937) shares his love of the art with thirteen original musical creations blending Spanish vocals and brisk, lively melodies. Casa de Trova is two-CD set; one CD features the music with vocals, while the other is purely instrumental - perfect for those who either want to sing unassisted or simply enjoy the songs' flowing beauty on its own terms.
