Taliferro Music, Background Music for Videos >>

nbeknownst to us, Taliferro Music is available as background music via Rumblefish for YouTube videos.

YouTube users who want to add music to their uploaded videos can now buy lifetime licenses for certain songs thanks to the company’s new deal with Rumblefish.
Unveiled on Tuesday, Rumblefish’s new music program, dubbed FriendlyMusic, offers a catalog of copyright-cleared songs, which YouTube videomakers can purchase for $1.99 each and legally edit into their videos before posting them online. The new feature is YouTube’s answer to users who have had their videos blocked in the past due to the unauthorized use of copyrighted music, according to the company’s blog…………

This is exciting news, although it’s old news. Is this common knowledge? If this information is on YouTube’s website it must be buried, because it’s definitely not prevalent. Rumblefish needs to do a better job of making this knowledge available to the masses.

Background Music For Video

Some video producers are really good at cutting video to the beat, but did you know adding background music is a piece of cake using Apple’s Final Cut Pro? Final Cut Pro allows a music video creator to make specific cuts to the beat in the video. It’s a manual process (if you consider tapping Command-B on the keyboard manual), but it’s fairly easy. Once you drag the song to the timeline, just click play, hold down the command key, and tap B wherever you want the video cut. Tapping to the beat is usually best. See the below YouTube video for a full explanation.

If you have no experience with video editing the learning curve is steep, but never fear, with a little diligence, it will all start to soak in around the 3rd or 4th day. Around the 3rd day you should be able to understand the video editing workflow, and around the 4th day you’ll be able to do some advanced video editing. You won’t be a pro by the 4th day, but you will know enough to create a decent music video professionally or just for home enjoyment.
