Mariza is a beloved performer of fado, the traditional music of Portugal. The stylish artist is often compared to the late Amalia Rodrigues, but she puts her own spin on the bluesy music, blending the fado folk style with jazz and African influences. Mariza, who recently released the album "Transparente." performs tonight at the Berktee Performance Center as part of World Music's fall schedule. Tickets: $28-$37.
