The Skatalites have to be credited with creating a truly Jamaican sound, ska. Almost 40 years later From Paris With Love, is a reminder of the styles' beginnings as well as its resurgence. The album, with 5 of the original members, is quite true to the Studio One sound that never seems to get old or go away. There's a reason the Skatalites swept Jamaica by storm in the 60's and forged the way for a whole new genre. These are the sounds of summer and decades later their sun shows no signs of setting.
