A deconstruction of the traditional Jewish wedding by Canadian DJ SoCalled and Sophie Solomon, member of Brit klezmer band Oi-Va-Voi. It takes a couple of plays to get the flow, but it ranges from the exquisite (the playing) to the absurd (some of the wedding rhymes and samples). However, it remains a fabulous fusion that never loves its respect for the past while dragging it into the present. And when Solomon and clarinetist let loose, the musicianship is transcendent. The three remixes at the end seem somewhat gratuitous, but the rest is wonderful.
