This joyous West African ensemble formed in 1961, brok up 12 years later, reunites then disbanded again in 1988. Back together since 1988 with five original members still on board, the brassy group sparkles anew with its swirling melodies, fleet guitar lines and potent mix of Afro-Cuban rhythms. 01/01/04
