The brainchild of Israeli bassist Yossi Fine, Ex-Centric Sound System follows in the footsteps of groups like Afro-Celtic Sound System and African Head Charge in mixing dance club beats with world music – particularly that of Africa, the Caribbean and the Middle East.

The blend works well, especially on songs like The Original Ragga and Ebae.  The group, which besides Fine, includes drummer Michael Avgil and vocalists and multi-instrumentalist Nana Dadzie and Miss Adevo, appears today on the Black Sheep Stage at the Ottawa Bluesfest.
