Ladies will want to slink into a sexy salsa ensemble, while men will regret passing up dance lessons years ago.

That's because it isn't hard to find Latin roots even if your strictly European while listening to the groovy tunes on Afro-Latin Party.

What started out as an effort to provide a Latin dance party sound track became a tribute to the international musical tapestry between Cuba and Africa. The combination of Croatian salsa, Cuban ska and Oregonian mambo will quickly grow on even the toughest of critics.

Contributors to the 10-track album include Africando, Nuyorican Jos Mangual Jr., Ska Cubano, Cubismo and Pepe and the Bottle Blondes (from Oregon no Icidding).

Even with a diverse range of artists, the project does get a little repetitious, and it isn't nearly long enough. Something a little slower might help round out the compilation.

Despite small flaws, Afro-Latin Party still beckons party-goers to traverse the globe while they navigate the dance-floor.
