Paul Winter, the saxophonist and composer, will present his 26th annual winter solstice concerts Thursday through Saturday at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam Avenue, at 112th Street, Morningside Heights. Guests this year include the Dmitri Pokrovsky Ensemble, the Forces of Nature Dance Theater Company, and the Brazilian singer Renato Braz. Mr. Winter's "Silver Solstice" (Living Music), with live recordings from last year's concerts, was nominated for a Grammy Award last week for best New Age album.   12/12/05 >> go there
