Global is the word - well, one of them--for Sara Tayares, the Portugese/Cape Verdean songstress who's made a real splash all over Boston and around the world. Her music's gentle, yet penetrating soul, with the sounds of Central Africa, Portugal, Cape Verde and everywhere else poking through. You wouldn't be off base if you compared her to Cesaria Evora, or Les Nubians, or even Norah Jones. Tavares returns to the Berklee Performance Center on Saturday. Tickets $22-$28 at the box office and Ticketmaster.
