Hazmat Modine - Bahamut

Yesterday I heard a segment on this band, Hazmat Modine, on NPR and they sold me. Maybe it's the remarkable use of grammar the reporters use or the clip of a song with throat singing that caught me but when I got home I logged online to find more information about them. Considering I'm on my computer all day at work and that I don't want to see a computer when I get home, this was really something.
I found some songs including the one with throat singing and they've all got a jazz, blues, ragtime fusion going on that lifts my spirit while it makes me wish I was a lot older. The track I've included in this post is the title track of the album and it has some neat arrangements and a monologue mid-song that's both thoughtful and goofy (go figure). I hope you enjoy it and if not, ok, go back to listening to My Chemical Romance. 10/26/06 >> go there
