We as Americans probably have “More Africa In Us” than we are aware of. Andrew McPherson, the mastermind behind eccodek believes that this sentiment is getting to “root of the matter, finding the deeper mystical history of things”. And I have to wholeheartedly agree. He got the title and idea from a Brian Eno interview where he talked about the reason he hated computers. His music is dub with downtempo grooves and trendy synths. Club-friendly vibes aren’t the only thing that populates this album as it drifts into African rhythms and vocals. Stirring. 08/31/06 >> go there
