In anticipation of his debut album and first North American tour, Malian artist Vieux Farka Toure, son and successor of the great Ali Farka Toure, will be performing at a special party in honor of the forthcoming Vieux Remixed on Friday, February 2, at Pachita (the upstairs lounge of NYC hotspot Pacha). Featuring DJ performances by NYC all-stars and Vieux remixers Nickodemus, Chris Annibell, DJ Center, Fabian Alsultany, dk aka BollyGirlNYC and Eccodek , along with live percussion by Jimmy Lopez and Malian talking drum master Baye Kouyaté -- as well as an exclusive live solo performance by Vieux himself and the New Works West African dance troupe starting at 9 PM - this night will prove to be a meeting ground of many worlds converging around one incredible artist.
