In one of its most interesting musical pairing yet, the Dana Center will have Slavic Soul Party, New York City's original Gypsy Brass street band; open the evening's concert performance. The band is just what it says it is and then some - an organic mix of fiery Gypsy brass, soulful Balkan anthems and the kind of hip-grinding American funk that sets an audience in motion. It's a healthy dose of American jazz and soul, seasoned with a fabulous dash of East European and Asian, all rolled into one great performance that has been rumored to cause even the most conservative music fans to "let loose" for a set or two! Well worth your last evening out at the Dana Center until next season. Warning - wear your dancing shoes!
