Zap Mama-Super Moon (CD)Heads Up International
Born of an African mother and a Belgian father, Marie Dauline has a history that rivals a travel agent's list of destinations. Best known as Zap Mama, Dauline delivers eleven tracks full of world, jazz, pop, funk, reggae and soul beats. Due for release August 2007, Supermoon is an emotionally honest and intimate album comprised of many flavors. Pick your favorites from cuts as the numbers driven, "1000 Ways," the reggae flavored "Hey Brotha,"while "Supermoon: extols her modest ways, the bitter sweet "Go Boy," and the sensitivity of "Affection." Belgian singer Arno is a great vocalist on "Toma Taboo," the joyful high energy "Kwenda," followed by the rhythmic "Gati," and a search for love is conducted on "Where Are You?"
