Ticklah - Ticklah Vs. Axelrod (CD) Easy Star Records
Victor 'Ticklah' Axelrod is the combination used for the CD title of Ticklah vs. Axelrod-they are in fact, one in the same. Ticklah takes the components of rhythm, melody, harmonies, arrangement, and sound to craft his songs. The successful realization of his idea is this 'baker's dozen' of musical gems. Pick your favorites from cuts as the instrumental gem, "Two Face," the pretty vocal of Tamarkali on "Want Not," adding in a pair of Eddie Palmieri ska and reggae classics "Mi Sonsito" and the sultry "Si Hecho Palante" with Mayra contributing have Mikey General on "Rescue Me," and Rob Symeonn on the tasty "Pork Eater," and adds in a dub gem titled "Nature Loving Dub." Ticklah taking it up a notch with the rhythmic "Descent," the happy sound of "Answer Me," the reggae beauty "Queen Dub" with Symeonn, winding down with "Reception" featuring Vinia Mojica, and "Nine Years." Outstanding album!
