Politics of dancing From France Gall to Johnny Hallyday, something strange happens when pop runs into French sensibilities. Add ska, punk, hip-hop, marching bands, Gypsy cabaret, and leftist street theater to the mix and you end up with the weird and wonderful Babylon Circus. Their funky agitprop anthems could make anyone, capitalists and communists, want to stop fighting and just dance. Try it, you'll like it.
