Post-salsa and super Latin dance groove from a group of nine musicians who re-create the 1970s big band style of "Newyorican" musicians (that is, from Puerto Rico) with electronic verve and explosive brass. Improvised Afro-Cuban beats with electronica, Brazilian samba, classic jazz harmonies, done the Bio Ritmo way, but no cheesy salsa here. This indie band, known for its tight playing, spicy sonic concepts and dancing beats, delivers a salsa experience that's fun for those who love the genre whether traditional or experimental.
